Anastasiia Semerei's work centers on the intersection of memory, imagination, and reality — how revisiting the past might transform the present, and how our imagination can shape what we perceive as real. In this process, she treats memory as something almost palpable, using photography, artificial intelligence, and intuition as her mediums.

She uses her art as a way to reflect and process trauma, filling both the physical and metaphorical voids in her life. She is drawn to objects as artifacts of events, valuing their symbolic weight and the role of physicality. By collecting items and exploring touch, she discovers how tangible materials and experiences can evoke or reshape memories.

Anastasiia Semerei is guided more by the act of creating than by the final result, she investigates how our experiences of reality, body, memory, and imagination intertwine.
